| Gaizhou ancient city has a long history of construction and the gathering of traditional buildings.It is an important military acropolis in the eastern part of Liaoning,and an important historical port and an ancient commercial city in the Northeast.However,in the process of rapid urbanization,large areas of historical areas were demolished and severely damaged.It is of urgent and practical significance to explore the protection and development of ancient cities.Based on the theoretical methods of Urban Typo-morphologiy this paper studies the ancient city of Gaizhou.This research mainly draws on the important research ideas of the study of the physical morphological structure and characteristics and the morphological formation and evolution mechanism in the urban morphological typology.According to the current situation of the ancient city and the preservation of historical materials,and considering the research elements of Urban Typo-morphology and urban design,the five elements of morphological research are determined: city form,street,street profile,plot,and building.Through the study of the morphology of each element and the analysis of diachronic evolution,it explores the driving factors behind the change of the physical form,and applies the research results to the protection and development of the ancient city.The main body of the paper can be divided into three parts.The first part is the introduction,which describes the background,purpose,significance,scope and methods of the research.The second part is the study of ancient city,block and architecture.The first part is the study of the form of ancient city.From the building of brick city in Ming Dynasty to now,the form development of Gaizhou city has three stages: historical ancient city stage,slow development stage and rapid expansion stage.The research of ancient city street system,through the qualitative and quantitative analysis method,has carried on the research to the street system evolution,the present situation,the classification and so on,has summarized the intersection,the end road and the public space type.The research of ancient city street profile system,has classified the ancient city street profile from the shape,the preservation condition two aspects,has summarized the different preservation condition street profile protection method.The research of the ancient city's plot puts forward the identification method of the current plot,which combines the satellite map with the preliminary judgment of the mapping map and the street view with the field investigation,completes the boundary identification of the current plot and the traditional courtyard,and summarizes the characteristics of its form,organization mode and architectural layout.The research of the ancient city building summarizes the function type of the historical building,summarizes the layout,bearing structure,material details and other characteristics of the historical building,classifies the preservation status of the historical building,and puts forward the protection strategy under the guidance of the building type.The third part is the conclusion,which is summarized from three aspects: the first is to summarize the morphological characteristics and evolution of each research element;the second is to summarize the impact of natural environment,cultural environment,traffic development and social policy on the evolution of ancient city morphology;the third is to summarize the principles and strategies of ancient city protection.Through the case study of various morphological elements of ancient city of Gaizhou,it is the localization application of the theory of Urban Typo-morphology,which confirms the positive role of the theory in the study of entity morphology and the analysis of morphological evolution.At the same time,this study makes up for the research deficiencies of the ancient city form and building type,and provides the support for the protection and development of the ancient city. |
