The Chinese Train Control System (CTCS) is compiled by the railway sector, based onour current and future high-speed passenger traffic line development demand, combined withthe basic national condition of China. In the CTCS vehicle subsystems, automatic trainprotection (ATP) is the core equipment, the on-board ATP in our high-speed trains, which aremainly imported from abroad, different manufacturers who provide different ATP equipmentinterfaces, and there are large differences between these interfaces; If ATP equipments brokendown, there are only a few specialized skillful workers who can repair them; Research on theon-board ATP in our country is still in its infancy, testers are still using the traditional methodof debugging on-board, which is not only wasting labor power, but also has limitation intesting the function of ATP equipments. It is quite urgent to have technological breakthroughsabout ATP equipments by studying the interface function of ATP comprehensively in thisstage.The ATP access module designed in this thesis is an important part of CTCS-3(C3)simulation and test system. Using FPGA as the core components in data processing modules,driven by the physical interface to connect the on-board ATP; The interface application logicare designed suitable for the on-board ATP using the internal communication protocol, thismodule achieve the goal that ATP train interface and brake interface are accessed to C3simulation and test system, significantly reduces the cost of the simulation test, andeffectively formulate various test schemes to achieve the purpose of the simulation test.Firstly, based on the analysis of the theoretical basis of ATP, the overall design schemesabout ATP access module are proposed combining with application environment of C3simulation and test system, demonstrating the design principles and functional requirementsabout ATP access module, which include control board, digital acquisition DI board anddigital sending DO board.Secondly, depend on different functions the hardware circuits are designed respectively,the design method about digital reception and transmission processing circuits, power andclock are introduced in details, based on the analysis of the electromagnetic compatibilitytheory, introduced optimization methods and specific design steps about electromagneticcompatibility in the printed circuit boards, the hardware design of the control board, DI boardand DO board are completed; On this basis, a proprietary communication protocol SIP isdesigned according to the requirement, focus on the data self-checking function to improvethe reliability of the communication process and its hardware language achievement, designthe hardware circuit to establish the communication protocol in physical layer.Lastly, based on function and test schemes of C3simulation and test system, using Labview to design the PC management system, the functions include status display, uservisualization, fault simulation, and then completed the commissioning test between on-boardATP and ATP access module, which verifying the completeness and correctness of thefunctions of the ATP access module.ATP access module has been well used in projects like C3simulation and test systemwith a reasonable structure, high compatibility, reliability and other characteristics. Testresults show that the control module, data transmission module and reception module areoperating normally, they can achieved the desired goal, which have high practical value andgood market prospects.
