Priority to develop the rail transit as the backbone of the city publictransportation system is the fundamental way to solve the traffic problem in big city, which has become a consensus. Rail transit has the characteristics of large capacity, fast speed, environmental protection, energy saving, but the transportation abilitymainly rely on other means of transport connection. The research related to rail station, mainly for the passengers and facility characteristics, the less study on the relationbetween road space design and capacity on the station outside. This study first put forward the definition, classification, causes about large scalepassenger around rail station, and summarize the characteristics and influence of thelarge scale passenger, and analyze the characteristic of access modes and rail transit.within the region of influence the nature of land use, development scale of rail stationbased on classification, the road facilities design specification and service level aresummarized, the method to determine the barge is connected with the road facilitiesand orbit parameters.Next, take the Beijing Jinsong rail station as an example, carries on theinvestigation about the various access modes of rate of flow, the temporal and spatialdistribution characteristics of passenger flow and bus access passenger, and the railstation of motor vehicles and non motor vehicle flow distribution characteristics wereanalyzed and summarized, obtained the temporal and spatial distribution of passengerrail station. Finally, according to the design idea of balanced flow, reasonable distribution ofroad resources, layout of the rail station on the road facilities, relieve the impact oflarge passenger station on the track, and ensure traffic safety and efficiency of variousaccess modes.
