With the rapid development of Chinese economy, the number of users and the size ofthe distribution network is growing fast, so is the relationship among distribution network,power markets and the user. As higher requirements on power quality and service quality ofpower supply enterprises have been put, the idea of developing smart distribution gridemerged. Smart distribution grid as an important part of a strong smart grid can providepower quality that meet customer needs in the21st century and contributes to the efficientoperation of power assets and electrical market. Its main features include strong,self-healing, compatibility, economy, integration, optimization.In this paper, considering the characteristics of self-healing smart distribution network,the necessary aspect the technology have been studied and a self-healing control systembased on MAS has been put forward.Firstly, this paper introduces the FLISR techniques, namely fault location isolation andservice restoration techniques, including local control and remote control mode. For fastand reliable restore power supply, the application strategy that using local control to ensurerapid recovery and using remote control to ensure global coordination has been studied.Secondly, the distribution network typical wiring patterns and characteristics toachieve self-healing have been investigated. The characteristics and range of application ofmulti-segmented single contact overhead lines, lines and multi-segmented multi-contactoverhead lines,"2-1" single ring cable network,"3-1" single ring cable network, N terminalcable network have been researched.Again a variety of self-healing distribution network communication methods havebeen analyzed, three-tier distribution network communication system and communicationprotocols have been designed. For information and data in distribution network existsdispersed, broad source and other features, the overall framework of intelligent distributionnetwork information systems has been designed and information management capabilitieshas been configured.Finally, the paper proposes the principle to realize self-healing control, designsintelligent distribution network self-healing control structure based MAS, self-healing control application software frameworks and software modules. Hierarchical self-healingsystem includes feeder agency, distributed power agency, powered regional agency andglobal proxy. The scheme can restore power in the smallest possible switching frequencyand processing time.
