With the rapid development of social economy in our country continuously, people’s living standards have been improving, the cultural consumption has gradually become a symbol of national consumption level. As an important part of cultural industry, tourism not only carrying the heavy responsibility of promoting national economic growth, carrying the historical mission of continuously meet the spiritual and cultural needs of national. Ancient town as an important tourism resource, including cultural landscape and the natural landscape, talent showing itself in a number of tourism resources, and become an important tourist destination.In the process of the operation of the market in the town area, set up effective brand image through the introduction of visual identity system, with a distinctive character to formed the brand differences, to avoid the same with other scenic area, so as to satisfy tourist diversification and personalized consumer demand.In this paper, combining the theory of visual identity system with development of Hongjiang ancient commercial city tourist attraction, analyses the importance of visual identity system in the tourism development of Hongjiang ancient commercial city. Because of development of Hongjiang Ancient Commercial City is late, the scenic area management is not perfect, and the operation of the market is not mature and some other reasons, causes it has not formed a distinctive brand image. The application of visual identity system will help to build a tourism brand, so as to promote the development of local tourism. Based on the analysis and Research on visual identity design of the ancient town tourism scenic spots in China, combination the geography, history and culture, national characteristics and other related informations of Hongjiang ancient commercial city,to find its unique cultural values, then obtaining design information, so as to create the local tourism image is more accurate, and to promote brand popularity, strengthening propaganda and communication, and continuously satisfy the needs of tourists, promote the rapid development of the local tourism industry.
