In recent years, recycled concrete has been applied to practical engineering as a newtype concrete in order to solve the large number of construction waste which generatedevery year. Recycled concrete made use of waste concrete as coarse aggregate and fineaggregate. So it can save non-renewable natural resources and ease the aggregatecontradiction of supply and demand. At the same time it is beneficial to environmental.Due to various factors, the physical and mechanical propertiesworking performanceof recycled concrete are relatively complex. So it is necessary to research the recycledconcrete systematically. The research content for different rate of physical properties andmechanical properties of recycled concrete. Firstly, it discusses the preparationtechnology and physical properties of recycled coarse aggregate and physical properties.It sets out series of requirements to make recycled concrete according to the norms ofordinary concrete and get the preparation technology process flow diagram to make aguarantee by producing large scale of recycled aggregate. Secondly, it gets the conclusionthat recycled concrete strength is proportional to the strength of waste concrete by fivegroups C30recycled concrete experiments. They are at the same mixture ratio, samereplacement rate and same design strength. Finally, it comes up with the recycledconcrete mix design method through the damage detection test of18groups recycledconcrete blocks. The substitution rates are0%,20%,40%,60%,80%and100%. Thestrength classes are C20, C30and C40. When the recycled aggregate replacement rate is40%, C20and C30have the best mechanical properties. When it is20%, C40has the bestmechanical properties. And recycled concrete failure modes are analyzed in this paper.Recycled concrete has many advantages like recycled recycling, no pollution, andenvironmental protection. Through comprehensive understanding of different replace-ment rate performance of recycled concrete, it can provide accurate basis for the futureapplication in practical engineering.
