| In the mountain city of Chongqing, walking is important for residents to travel, andthe mountain trails are often straightened, can greatly improve the efficiency of traffic,people naturally become pedestrian traffic carrier. But with the development of the city,people are more inclined to choose the convenient vehicle traffic, mountain trails oftraffic function increasingly weak. Due to the break from roadway, the mountain trailsbecome fragmented state, and ignored the city. With the development of tourism in thecity and the improvement of people’s living standards, mountain trails of entertainment,cultural shows and other functions have been excavated, and the trail gradually return tothe people’s field of view. Theses from the National Science and Technology SupportProgram "urban group planning and dynamic monitoring of key technology researchand development and integration demonstration" of the sub-project "urban group tooptimize the effectiveness of high-density space key technologies"(item number2012BAJ15B03), based on the features mountain trails and modern lifestyle, using ofrelevant design theory, to meet the modern lifestyle and the maintaining of regionalcharacteristics.This paper is divided into seven chapters.Chapter1is mainly about the importance of mountain trails and the impact ofmodern life brings basis, leads to the dilemma faced by the current landscape of the trail,which made the central proposition of this paper discusses the necessity andsignificance of mountain trails landscape design studies.Chapter2provides an overview of the study the history of the development ofmountain trails, current situation and problems of the construction of these three aspectsof this paper, an overview of the study, with examples summarized the main issues onthe mountain trail system, cultural, spatial and ecological environment andcontradictions.Chapter3focuses on the space generation environment and the constituentelements analysis, summed up the trail landscape Chongqing several key features:superior landscape elements, landscape characteristics multidimensional, rich landscapeform, the unique history and culture, diverse humanities activity.Chapter4analyzies the impact of modern life on the traditional landscape ofmountain trails. According to "lifestyle decided to use activities, which determines the landscape," the thinking logic.
