Research on the subject, is a cooperative project in Industrial Design of TianjinUniversity and Xugong Group Co. ltd.. In the process, we found that the coatingdesign of construction machinery products still on the perceptual stage. The answermaybe manly depends on designer’s subjective intuition and personal experience.There is no coating design production system and the process. The coating schemewithout theoretical basis because if the difference of designer individual ability andlimitation. They often tend to make the personal optimal solution. And differentappearance of the product formation is also a big obstacle for keep consistency andcontinuity of maintenance coating style.This thesis put forward a more informed, more rational and more effectivecoating design method. Therefore, in the practice of the project, research and practiceof construction machinery products exploration of coating and design, combining thetheory and algorithm of color, color image, color harmony, model construction andevaluation as the continuity of design scheme has been studied, and achieved theuseful results.This thesis analyses the basic theory of the application of color in the engineeringmachinery products, emotional communication to judge people and the use of colorimage scale, the key points in the coating project design of mechanical products,constructed as a design basis. Visual perception and color image using the color,combined with the particularity of construction machinery products, the coatingdesign of color selection, and the mix ratio calculation in the color harmony principle.Make the excavator as an example, constructed by the theory mentioned above andmathematical calculation results to guide the design scheme, design scheme with mathcalculated to evaluate beauty and success. The design scheme of the extracted coatingstyle elements as the genetic factor, crossover and mutation by using geneticalgorithm, to process on products division of the search, the final result. The finaldesign results verify the effectiveness of this method, and the whole design plan. The coating construction machinery products design can be more plausible, morerational and scientific, and can be a very good extension coating design style, toensure consistency of product series.
