Temperature load is one of the main loads that the mass concrete suffered duringconstruction andit is also the main reason for causing cracks on concrete structures.The damage of the concrete structures always caused by the extension of cracks. Somastering and knowing the temperature field and stress field of the mass concretestructures can help us control the concrete cracks significantly.and improve thegeneral safety of the structures.With the development of science, various types of monitoring instruments haveemerged, and using monitoring instruments has become a trend during theconstruction process of mass concrete, which has significant auxiliary function forcontrolling inner temperature, stress and crack openings of the mass concretestructuresBut the detecting instruments can only detect certain points not to every position.So it is necessary to combine the finite element analysis results with the detectingdatas and get the status of the stress, strain field and crack position of the concretestructures during construction and operation and then propose measures that cancontrol the cracks. All this will provide basis for the construction and safetyproduction of mass concrete.In this paper, we use the mass reinforced concrete pads as an example forin-depth study.The main contens are as follow:1.Introducing the finite element theory and method of the cushion temperaturefield and stress field of the mass concrete, the theory of cracking and the calculatingmethod of the width of crack.2.On the basis of considering the influence factors of hydration heat, pipecooling and surface heat dissipation, We use the ANSYS finite element analysissoftware to analyse the temperature field of concrete cushionand make mutual intercomparison with the measured temperature of the concrete cushion.3.For the simulation of the interaction between concrete and steel, we use thespring element to connect the concrete element node and steel bare element nodeļ¼Œandsimulating the bond-slip between concrete and steel. On the basis, considering concrete creep stress and the calculated temperature load obtained in the previous step,we can get the stress field of concrete structures and bar element, and spring elementā€™sdeformation and then make comparison with the measured datas.4.Get the theory crack opening by calculating the measured steel stress and thenmake comparison with the spring element deformation and measured fracture widthinorder to obtain the analysis conclusion of the crack opening.Mutual inter comparison of the calculating results in this paper and the measureddata shows that finite element calculating results has higher accuracy. Using ANSYSfinite element software to make simulation forecast on mass concrete structures cangreatly save work load and costs, and it has extremely strong practicality.
