Along with the world’s economic resurgence, the trade in china is expanding, notonly domestic trade, but also foreign trade, and the container freight volume will havea new growth. Along with the growth of the container freight volume, thecompetitions of the ports’ operation will have a new challenge and opportunity. Tokeep the supply of goods and protect the benefits of customers, the port must improvecustomers’ satisfaction, reduce the time of the truck waiting delay in the port, andensure that the liner ships can leave from the port on time. And in the meanwhile, theport must consider the capacity, including using the conditions of machine, costfactors, and so on. It isn’t a good way to complete the task by increasing theequipment traditionally, because it not only increases the cost, but also it maybe doesnot improve the working performance. So, we must make sure that the suitableallocation of resource is made to achieve the goals. This thesis analyzes the conditions of the advanced terminals by surveying thedevelopment of the domestic and foreign terminals’ yards, and using the experienceand the knowledge in my working on the terminal, the T Container Terminal’s yard inTianjin Port has been researched, including the conditions, the type of yard, the formof work organization, and solving methods of the questions. We apply the discretesimulation modeling system to optimize T Terminal’s working organization and therational distribution of resource by experiments, including setting up the optimizinggoal models for QC, YC, trucks and so on, and verify them by Plant Simulationsoftware to get the conclusion of the proportion of the distribution of resource. Finally, the uncontrollability points in T Terminal planning are analyzed, the improvementsuggestion and the feasibility of the suggestion have been proved.
