| Under the background of global climate change, the countries all over the worldtake reducing carbon dioxide emissions and the greenhouse effects as an importantguiding ideology as economic development. The signing of the Kyoto protocol urgesall countries to put forward to the carbon emissions plan and establish the carbontariffs, carbon trading and so on, in order to promote the social development incarbon emissions. The quantification control of carbon emissions becomes the coreof the realization of low carbon concept. As Low carbon building is one of the mostimportant contents in low carbon economy, it has significant meaning to realize thewhole society’s carbon emissions targets, and create resource conservation andenvironment friendly society. Reducing carbon emissions is the core target of lowcarbon architectural design. The quantitative analysis assisted in low carbonarchitecture design can promotes the design process more scientific and reasonable,and ensure the realization of carbon emissions reduction targets.Because of the quantitative target of low carbon building design, quantitativeanalysis becomes a necessary method to assist design. This could make the designprocess more scientifical and reasonable, ensure the quality of design and achievethe target of reducing carbon emission. But now, the complexity of its’ content andthe variety of tools make how to use quantitative analysis to assist design become adifficult issue.First, this paper comprehensive collects the contents of quantitative analysis inlow carbon building design, which content ensuring the scope of the quantitativeanalysis in low carbon building design and establishing the index system ofquantitative analysis in low carbon building design. The intension of low carbondesign decide we should consider the features of carbon emission in the Life cycleof building; In order to identify the assistant effect of the index in all design section,we should establish the index system of quantitative analysis.Second, this paper analysis the methods of quantitative analysis in low carbonbuilding design: the method of carbon emission calculation and the computersimulation. It proposes a carbon estimator model and some software which can beused in earlier stage of design process, and then explain one by one.Third, after the analysis on existed building design patter and the new featureof low carbon design assisted by quantitative analysis, establishes a design patternsbased on quantitative analysis assisted in low carbon architecture, and elaborates itscharacteristics on the three aspects on design process, mode of team compositionand the model of information flow. Finally, the paper discusses the applies on quantitative analysis assisted thestrategies of low carbon building design, and shows the generation and adjustmentof the orientation strategy and technical strategies by using quantitative analysis. Onthe one side, it elaborates carbon calculation assist the strategies in pre-design fromlife cycle of building; on the other side, it elaborates the computer simulation assistthe strategies in three stages: concept design, program optimization and programchecking and adjustment with examples. |
