With the rapid development of industry, speed of rotating machinery isbecoming higher and higher and balancing accuracy requirements areincreasing, so rotor dynamic balancing technology come into being. Dynamicbalancing measurement system is used for measuring the unbalance ofrotating machine rotor.The research project aims at improving the system’s performance byfurther research of communication method between upper machine and lowermachine, user data processing software system, rotor unbalance extractionalgorithm and dynamic balancing simulation of high speed rotor and all ofthem are based on existing research work of dynamic balancing measurementsystem. The main research works are:1. Study the USB communication method of dynamic balancingmeasurement system. The micro-controller is PIC18F4550with USB mode.Designing principles include communication protocols, firmwareprogramming and application testing example. A speed and reliabilityguaranteed USB communication method is given, realizing data transmissionbetween lower machine and upper machine.2. Design a user data processing software system which achieveshuman-computer interaction function very well. It completes a series offunctions, including signing in system safely, setting experimental parameterdata, unbalance value acquisition and calculation, showing measurementresults and data management.3. Research for ways of extracting the unbalance vibration signal. Givefour extraction algorithms for baseband signal amplitude and phase. Derivatethe principle of extraction method first. Then do simulation experiment withMATLAB and compare and analysis extraction precision of differentmethods to verify algorithm effectiveness and practicality. 4. Design a simulation system for high-speed rotor’s dynamic balancing.Through the studies of actual rotor balancing process and rotor dynamics, weestablish a mechanical model of the high-speed rotor and derive law ofbalancing signals. Then using Visual C++software programming and D/Aconverting card PCI8324AF based on PCI bus to convert digital signals toanalog signals, and analog signals are outputted to the electrical measuringunit. So the actual rotor’s balancing process is simulated.
