This thesis discusses the general characteristics of a suspension bridge, the maincomputational theory and key technology issues, and the actual project as an example forthe pedestrian suspension bridge design process in all important aspects: the bridge positionand bridge structure type selection, bridges span layout, the main structural design(including the main tower, main cables, slings and cable clamp, the main saddle, saddles,anchorage and anchorage foundation, floor system, wind cable, etc.), ancillary facilitiesdesigned to summarize summed to form a complete set of design points system, and on thepedestrian suspension bridge damping, anti-corrosion measures conducted a special study,highlighting the bridge design not only stay in the force structure and capabilities to meetthe needs of structural details of the design to be fully integrated construction operability,error tolerance, quality of controllability, thus ensuring product design truly technologicallyadvanced, safe, reliable, durable apply the design principles of economic rationality.
