With the development of China’s economy, car becomes more and more popular.Nowadays with the development of the domestic auto industry and the depression ofthe foreign automotive industry, the world famous OEMs swarm into China market.During the same time, the requirement for the comfort and safety of cars is rising. InChina latch market, the new power locking latches are in the introduction phase, latchequipment in high-end vehicles also been popular with the decline in the cost and thegeneration of new technology and equipment in the low-end models, entering a periodof rapid growth. In response to the increasing factory orders and shortage of capacity,how to use scientific and effective method to develop a new production line undercurrent situation is of great significance.Base on the study of MSD (Manufacturing System Development), thedevelopment of Volkswagen Basic latch new production line will follow the MSDprocess, including project feasibility study, risk analysis at beginning (MSD1.0).Capacity planning and manufacturing process plan (including TAKT time calculationbased on the volume, MTM application in managing the process design, design ofPFD, in the middle stage (MSD2.0/3.0); Process analysis, control plan (makingPFMEA, making PCP formulation, working instruction) and layout in the latestage(MSD3.5). By the use of the scientific method, we can reduce the investment costof the production line, reduce the development cycle of the production line andimprove utilization and product quality of the production line.The success of this project can resolved the capacity shortage of basic latch.Promotes further development of Volkswagens platform latch development, reduceproduct costs, and improve industrial competitiveness.
