In the earthquake, infill wall in frame not only damages in plane, but also collapsesout of plane. The shale fired heat-insulation block masonry wall is a type of newenergy-saving and environment-friendly building wall. In order to study theout-of-plane anti-seismic performance of infill walls, shaking table tests of uniaxialloading with4pieces of full scale shale fired heat-insulation block masonry infill wallswere designed using the orthogonal experimental method. The purpose is to explore thevertical spacing of the horizontal tension belt and the connection way between infillwall and frame on the impact of the out-of-plane anti-seismic performance of infillwalls. In the first stage, applying EL-Centro wave and Taft wave and Ninghe waveout-of-plane, then applying the white noise sweep at the corresponding level of load. Inthe second stage, performing the destruction test of the wall, inputting two EL-Centrowave with no time interval and sine wave, and taking white noise sweep after each stageloading. The results show that:(1)KJ-1, KJ-2, KJ-3and KJ-4all have good anti-seismic performance.(2)There are three factors affect the infill wall’s out-of-plane anti-seismicperformance, and the vertical spacing of the horizontal tension belt influences thefragility most, then the connection mode of infill walls and frame beam and theconnection way between infill walls and frame column the least.(3)The KJ-4wall and frame is rigid connection, and the out-of-plane anti-seismicperformance of infill wall is the best. It can form arch carrying mechanism effectively,enhance the out-of-plane anti-seismic performance of infill wall, but has great effect onthe anti-seismic performance of the frame. (4)Under the action of the Taft wave, Ninghe wave and EL-Centro wave, theanti-seismic response of the walls are basically the same.Based on the results of experimental study, then using the finite element softwareABAQUS to establish three6-storey framework structure of the fiber models, they arepure frame structure KJ-A, frame structure with flexible connection infill wall KJ-B andframe structure with rigid infill wall KJ-C.3structures were applied to EL-Centro wave,Taft wave, Nanjing artificial wave, comparison frequency, acceleration response,displacement response and shear response, comprehensive analysis of the out-of-planeanti-seismic performance on the structure. The results show that:(1)Three models of the inter-story displacement angle meet norms, and meet the8degree rare seismic requirements.(2)Flexible connection infill wall and rigid connection infill wall can improve theanti-seismic performance of the frame structure, the frame structure of the drift and theinter-story displacement angle decreases.(3)The frame with flexible connection infill wall damage light than the framewith rigid connection infill wall.(4)Flexible connection infill wall exists a local vibration of tiny, but rigidconnection infill wall itself does not exist obvious local vibration. They can guaranteethat the wall itself safety.(5)Frame structure with flexible connection infill wall stiffness than framestructure with rigid connection infill wall.
