| In China, with sustainable development of structural energy efficiencyimplementing, it has become the urgent task to develop a new energy-saving insulationwall material vigorously. Shale fired heat-insulation block masonry, which is as one ofnew energy-saving insulation wall material, has the promising application prospect, possessing many advantages, such as soil recycling, environment protection, favorableheat preservation performance, convenient building and so on. In China, however, thereis a little seismic performance experimental research on it and concerned designcriterion is blank, which results in restrictions to utilize and promote this product. As aresult, it is significant to carry out seismic performance experimental researches on theshale fired heat-insulation block masonry wall.Firstly, the paper elaborates the basic mechanical properties on the shale firedheat-insulation block masonry structure, based on researches of compression test and itsmasonry compression test and shear test study. To provide a basis for the experimentalstudy on the seismic performance of the shale fired heat-insulation block masonry wall.Secondly, the paper focuses on the seismic performance on the shale firedheat-insulation block masonry. Based on the five testes of the walls under low-cycleloading, considering different height-width ratios, different vertical compressed stressand impact of the holes, the paper studies damage process and patterns of the wall, anddifferent seismic performance indicators, including shearing capacity, hysteretic curve, skeleton curve, ductility, measurement of energy dissipation capacity, stiffnessdegradation and others capacities. And a range of factors impacting the walls are alsobeing analyzed. Lastly, the testes indicate that seismic performance on the wall with constructional column is increased to a certain extent. And the seismic shearing capacityof the wall increases with the increase of vertical compressed stress, however, decreaseswith the increasing of height-width ratio. In addition, seismic shearing capacity on thewall with the holes is much lower, because the holes make serious weaken effect on thewall. In this paper, On basis of basic mechanical properties of the shale firedheat-insulation block masonry, based on five tests of the walls made of sintered shalethermal insulation block, combining with concerned specification on masonry structureand previous research results, the proposed formula on seismic shearing capacity on thewall made of sintered shale thermal insulation brick, which provides a certain basis todesign criterion on shale fired heat-insulation block masonry. |
