Research On Historical Block Slow Traffic Volume Forecast And Block Traffic Space Planning

Historic blocks records the development process of the city, like a thick book,which contains rich historical culture of the city. Historic blocks defined in the townplanning principles are as follows: locations of a certain amount and scale of thehistorical buildings， structures and features are saved relative completely, andreconstructing historic blocks in the protected historic sites. On the basis of history, thereconstructing historic block restores and recreates the appearance of original historicblocks which have been dying out. Except for traffic function, it also possesses thefunction of tourism, business, leisure, culture and so on. At present, the Midwest urbantraffic development is so rapid that the impact effect to the reconstructing historic blockwith slow traffic as the main traffic mode is becoming great. In consideration of thisphenomenon, research on reconstructing historic block slow traffic is carried out in thispaper.Historical block of the new planning reconstruction is the main research subject inthis paper. first for slow traffic attraction of historic blocks are studied,main factors ofslow traffic are analyzed with Xi’an Great Tang all day long mall as an example.Furthermore, attraction of some Xi’an historic blocks is calculated and sorted with thesoftware of SPSS. According to the total quantity of Xi ’an tourism, attraction of GreatTang all day long mall and proportion for all kinds of transportation, traffic volume forGreat Tang all day long mall is obtained. And then, status of traffic layout and trafficorganization of Great Tang all day long mall is analyzed in detail. For slow trafficproblems in the operation process, improving measures and suggestions are proposedfor slow traffic layout and traffic organization. Finally, take slow traffic space of Great Tang all day long mall for example, analysis of current status and problem for the slowtraffic space is conducted. From the respect of slow traffic channel space planning, slowtraffic layout and organization, land use, landscape design, behavior perception andfeatured figures for historic blocks, humanization suggestions are put forward toimprove the taste and value of historic blocks.
