The Planning And Design Research Of Urban Villages Reconstruction Communities’ Environmental Quality

Since the1990s of20thcentury, with the expanding of cities, a phenomenon whichis called rural surrounded by city has emerged, city-village is a product of the rapidurbanization in our country. City-village has been seen as an obstacle of urbanizationfrom its first emergence. With the promoting urbanization in our country, reform ofcity-village has been included in the develop plan in many cities, hence a heat wave ofcity-village’s reform has started countrywide. While there is a huge change comes alongwith it which is the designers has started to care about not only their designs but also theusers of their designs which means how people feel about the designs. This has been avery delighted start and a qualitative leap. But in the beginning of this discoveringprocess, due to the professional interdisciplinary and the universality of the fields itrelated to, even though the designers have intentions to care about the psychology andbehavior of people, however because of the lack of related instructing researches, manypeople-oriented designs have just stayed on their literally meanings.This research is started by discussing the current situation of city-village’s reformand summarizing the issues that have been exposed during the reform. And based on therelated studies at home and abroad, this research will clarify the basic conceptions andfeatures of Environmental Behavior and its relation with city-village’s reform and thedesign of community. Then, it deeply discussed the behavioral patterns andpsychological requirements of residents from different aspects and angles, raisedquestions about city-village’s reform and the design of community and systematically analysed the necessity of city-village’s reform and the design of community which areunder the instruction of Environmental Behavior. After the accurate analysis on thecurrent situation and insufficient of traditional terms of city-village’s reform andcommunity’s design and using the necessary method called “path dependence” onanalyzing and solving matters which is based on the reasonable and logical theories ofEnvironmental Behavior, we would be able to raise a new path of city-village’s reformand the design of community and a new specific designing plan which used thesecondary reform of “dong wuqiao” in XI’AN as an example, hoping this research willbe benefit to building a dynamic and popular community environment.
