Steel structure was called “green building’,because it have property such ashigh intensity、well aseismitac performance、small structural member、light self weight and fast construction speed;the steel structure can protect environment、recycle materials and accord with continuable development.The plane arrangementof multistory steel frame structure is flexible, it is advantageous for work,andit will be applicated widely in future. Mmultistory steel frame structure is not applicated widely, the unreasonable place still exists in the design and the capacity of execution for complex steel structure is not high.. This paper has researched the optimum design of steel frame structure for the rational design of steel structure.The design of structure include conceptuai design of structure、the calculation of bearing capacity of structure and structural measures of structure. conceptuai design of structure include the attention of option of side,research on the analysis of influence of anti-seismic about the weight of building,research on ductility design of structure, research on the analysis of influence of anti-seismic aboutfiller wall, setting multiple seismic fortification lines, Construction quality,and soon.the building suffered earthquake effect in a future period is specified impossibly. Seismic calculation can not guarantee seismic safety structure, conceptual design can guarantee seismic safety structure efficiently, conceptual design reduce Structures subjected to earthquake,however, the seismic performance of the structureis improved.Combining optimization algorithms and finte element technology,optimum model has been proposed for multilayer steel frame system in this paper,accordingto theory of the steel structures design.We take the section length of the steel f rame systym as the parameterization design variable,take the displacement and the stress as constraint condition,carry on the optimal design using the ANSYS programme. The volume of steel frame systym which has been designed became small obviously,the stress and displacement of structure is better compared with old design schame.It is proved that the optimization method of ANSYS has a great practical significance because it can improve the design efficiency of steel structure, reduce weight and cost of steel structure.
