Study On Rgyalrong Traditional Tibetan Settlements And Local-style Dwelling Houses Based On Phenomenological Perspective

China is a vast country inhabited by various minority groups, these regionalsettlements and dwellings have their own system and local characteristics. Among thosesettlements, Rgyalrong Tibetan is located in the Tibetan-Yi corridor, of which the localtraditional settlements and dwelling buildings are quite particular due to themulti-cultural integration and ancient ecological environment. The long-timeharmonious natural life style of residents created and accumulated rich experience forthe characteristic construction of these traditional settlements and dwellings, and formsthe special settlements pattern and dwelling style, which is of great research value.The thesis takes the regional and minority characterized Rgyalrong Tibetansettlement and dwelling as research object, utilizes the related theories of architecturephenomenology and after data collection, I took the field survey to experience theRgyalrong Tibetan’s life-style and living situation, carry on an comprehensive researchof Rgyalrong Tibetan settlement form and dwelling building style from macro to microdimensions and make systematic investigation and conclusion of the spatial situation.Additionally, through the study of "environments affect people’s behavior----behaviorsaffect space construction", restore the architecture space construction to the "daily lifeworld " emphasized by phenomenology, and reveal the nature of inheritance for sense ofplace.During the first part of thesis I summarized the related theoretical methods ofphenomenology, and took a research methodology construction of architecturalphenomenology. For the second part, by using this analysis method, I summarized and concluded the space situation by through the parts of space elements, space evolutionand feature space, and took a detailed description of physical experience and senseperception of feature space, tried to demonstrate its space feature and space spirit,emphasized the construction of sense of identity and belonging. During the third part,according to the study of interaction of environment, human behaviors and spacesituation, I tried to illustrate the relationship between people’s environmental experienceand space, made profound analysis of deep influence factors and influence systemwithin Rgyalrong Tibetan settlements and dwelling space, thereby illuminating thepurpose of taking the phenomenology prospect for the research.The research begins with field research, then reveals that people’s environmentalbehavior and spatial experience is the decisive factor of settlement’s construction anddevelopment, by plentiful reading and conclusion of former basic data. For one thing,the objective theoretical results of the region settlement building research has beenreviewed and completed, which can provide necessary basic data and useful reference tobe used in other related study of Rgyalrong Tibetan. For another, the study ofRgyalrong Tibetan settlement and building with application of phenomenology, couldoffer a new perspective for the similar studies.
