Research On Travel Time Reliability Of Urban Road

Urban road travel time reliability describes the possibility of people completetravel timely. Currently, most of the civil research is based on a normal condition,and they believe sections are independent. However, sections and intersections aremutually affected nodes in the path, while travel time will be affected by differentfactors, these should be considered in the calculating of travel time reliability.Through surveying and analyzing the basic feature and distribution aboutaccidents, consider the intersection; regard each intersection and sections as pathbasic unit. Respectively survey the accidents influence on city section, quantifyindex, and introduce the correction factor of traffic accidents, set up the reliabilitycount mode of travel time under the bad influence, and solving preliminary.Break the assumption of link capacity independent, regard ing the sections ofroads and intersections as the basic unit of a path under considering the intersectionsnodes. Using the travel time of roads and intersections to calculate the travel time inthe path, then path reliability model is established. In the result, get the reliability oftravel time through solving their components separately in the context ofindependent and non-independent. Introduce a covariance formula, using thecorrelation coefficient in the base unit and base unit variance standard deviation torepresent the travel time variance in the path, thus calculate the travel time reliabilitywhich is non-independence. Finally, verify the model and calculation method’srationality in instance, and base analysis the reliability of travel time under theindependent unit and non-independent unit, concluded that the reliability of traveltime will reduced when considering the relevance of the basic unit.
