In recent years,due to the rapid growth of car ownership,the urban traffic congestion and accidents have become serious problems.As an important bottleneck to connect the various roads,the intersection restricts the efficiency of the whole traffic system play.Because the mixed traffic of many intersections is serious,and pedestrian interference makes the traffic load increases,resulting in the intersection of running capacity decline.As a new subject,reliability has been gradually applied in the field of transportation.Therefore,it is necessary to combine reliability with the operational efficiency of the intersection and study the reliability of the plane signalized intersections under pedestrian influence which is an important reference to ease the traffic congestion,optimize the traffic organization and design of the intersection.Based on the analysis of the reliability of road traffic network,this paper puts forward the concept of capacity reliability and travel time reliability of intersection,and designs its evaluation index and calculation method which is based on capacity and delay.And this paper discuss each lanes' calculation model of capacity and delay under the influence of pedestrian especially.Then the capacity and travel time reliability of the intersection are calculated by using the simplified probability method and Monte Carlo method respectively by R language programming.Finally,we chose an instance of the intersection to perform a computational analysis.Specific work of this paper included the following contents:(1)Firstly,based on the analysis of the movement characteristics of pedestrian and vehicle the signal intersections,combining with the gap theory,the model of traffic right,left turn and common lane capacity under pedestrian influence is established,and the model is compared with HCM model.Among them,the capacity of left turn vehicle crossing through the direct traffic and pedestrian traffic is based on the gap theory which through the two different types of traffic flow capacity calculation model,and considering the straight line for the single lane and multi-lane.(2)Secondly,the calculation of the travel time reliability is transformed into the calculation of the delay reliability,then the delay model of the special lane and shared lane are established individually.The special lane delay model is established on the basis of HCM2000,taking into account the impact of pedestrians,improving the green ratio and capacity calculation.The special lane delay model is established on the basis of steady-state delay model,combining with the average waiting time calculated by the W.F.Adams model,and considering the right turn(left turn)on the straight train block or do not block the establishment of two cases.(3)Finally,this paper analyzes the two-phase crossroads of Xueyuan South Road and Xingtan Road and Wenhuiyuan North Road in Beijing,whose pedestrian interference is serious.Through the field investigation to obtain the required traffic flow data,and through the K-S test to determine the lane of the vehicle to reach the distribution type.Then using the Raff method to determine the critical gap of the turning motor vehicle through the pedestrian and the straight motor vehicle.Calculating the reliability of the intersection from both the capacity and the delay by the simplified probability method and the Monte Carlo method,then analyzing and evaluating the reliability of the intersection.
