Trailer train plays an more and more important role in our semi trailer swaptransport. at the same time,accidents caused by trailer train increased, so as to protectthe security of trailer train and keep efficiency of semi trailer swap transport. therapid detection for frequent matching tractor and trailer’ braking system connectionsand semitrailer’ lighting system become more and more important, trailer train’selectric and gas connection test instrument was used for test on the tractor’ brakingsystem and semi-trailer’ braking and lighting system, developed on national standards.The purpose of this paper is software design for the test instrument.The test items of this test instrument in this paper include braking reaction timefor tractor, tractor’ pipe assembly fracture, trailer train’ brake pipe sealing, trailer train’brake lag time, braking reaction time for semi-trailer and semi-trailer’ lights signaltest.During the development software engineering theory was used to research andanalyse software design meticulously. Completed feasibility analysis of software intechnical, economic and social aspects; Completed requirements analysis for asoftware system according to the design demand, including hardware and softwareenvironment, performance requirements, functional requirements, interfacerequirements etc; Established software architecture design combined of softwaredesign theory; Complete data acquisition module, data analysis and processingmodule, data display, report generation and printing module design; After completionof the software design, conducted software testing and experimental validation;Finally completed the whole software design process, test software could carry outbraking reaction time for tractor, tractor’ pipe assembly fracture, trailer train’ brakepipe sealing, trailer train’ brake lag time, braking reaction time for semi-trailer andsemi-trailer’ lights signal test.Software development and design is based on virtual instrument technology, takefull advantage of the powerful features of the PC for data analysis, processing,storage and graphical display. The use of a large number of functions and Xcontrol inLabVIEW carry out a test equipment with beautiful and practical user interface, easyto operate, development time is short. trailer train’s electric and gas connection test instrument software can quickly detect car train braking systems and lighting systems,and the testing process, the data is reliable, and have practical significance in thereduction of traffic accidents caused by the car train, reduce accident rates andimprove transport efficiency of transport enterprises.With the successful development of this subject, virtual instrument technology isused in the field of trailer train braking system and lighting system, making the trailertrain braking and lights system testing process more intelligent, more convenient,more accurate, meet the design requirements of the beginning.
