The Study On The Barrier-free Designapplied In The Design Of Elderly Mobility Aids

With the development of the global economy, population aging has become aworldwide problem.Because of China’s large population base,the aging problem iseven more severe.The aging society has gradually changed the traditional pensionmode. The way to enable the elderly to enjoy the technological civilizationadvances,and in response to the communication barrier free design concept of thecare of vulnerable, as far as possible to eliminate obstacles to the thought,to makethem integrate into social life easier,which has become the problem that we can not beignored.However, the development space of China’s elderly barrier design is still needto be filled.Especially for the elderly of barrier free products,which can not meet theneeds of users,that caused widespread concern in the community. The mobility aidshas closely relationship to the elderly are particularly close,because of the assistanceto the elderly body support, maintain balance and make it easy to move.Therefore,the research and design practice of barrier free design is very meaningful.The issue started in our barrier-free design aids for the elderly to move.Throughthe theoretical research, summarizing the principle and practice of process design inorder to attract more people to care for the elderly of barrier free design to create acomfortable and healthy life contribute to the safety of the aged people.This paper consists of the following three parts.The first part:put forwardquestions,briefly introduced the background, purpose and significance of the study,then proposed research problems.The second part:analysis of the problem,thenintroduce the barrier free design concepts and an overview of the topic,analysis of thephysiological and psychological characteristics and the elderly dysfunction andclassified discussion on existing mobile devices.Thorough market research and useraccess to all kinds of mobile devices, make the conclusion of the practical experienceand the advantages and disadvantages. Finally the third part:solve theproblem,Summed older mobile aids related to accessible design elements and designprinciples,draw future direction.With reference to research the conclusions and resultsused in design practice preliminary and summary.
