Research Of The Elderly Walking Aids Based On Interaction Design

With the development of technology and improvement of living standard, people are paying more and more attention to user experience and man-machine interaction function of products. In the global aging era, establishment and improvement of the old-age pension suggests people’s higher demand for products designed for the elders.From the perspective of interaction design, this subject chooses the elderly walking aids as research direction and aims at companying and caring for the elderly.According to user and market research of existing products, effective improvements and innovative design have been made to perfect the function and appearance design of the elderly walking aids. Therefore, the elderly’s needs could be met both physically and mentally and their living standard could be improved finally.Based on theories of design methodology, interactive design, ergonomics,materials science, and experience economics etc., this paper takes the form, structure,function, texture, color and other aspects of products into overall consideration so as to finish the design of the elderly walking aids. Because of the specificity of beneficiaries, the single realization of basic function is far from enough. A study on the breadth of function in scope of application should be conducted as well. Besides,in order to increase the practicability, versatility and usability in terms of function,structure modeling has been perfectly designed and effectively combined. By adopting the way of interaction design and ergonomics theory, this subject simplifies the operating steps and usage mode of products and thus make them more convenient.The design criterion and notes of old-age products has been deeply explored through the usage of interaction design method so that products could satisfy the elderly’s needs both physically and mentally, making them feel happy and comfortable and eventually improving their living standard.
