Star sensor is widely used as a measuring instrument for spacecraft attitude and itsperformance requirements is in the continuous improvement. Star simulator is the mostimportant device for the measurement and calibration of star sensor, so its performancerequirement is also in the continuous improvement. Magnitude is one of the most importanttechnical parameters of star simulator, so the measurement accuracy of the parameter hasdirect impact on the accuracy of star simulator. The accuracy of measurement technique whatwe use for the measurement of magnitude is low. So the paper presents a kind of measurementtechnique of magnitude based on spectrophotometry and energy integration. The paperpresents a measurement system of magnitude based on spectrophotometry and energyintegration in order to achieve this kind of measurement technique of magnitude.Firstly, the article discusses the necessity of the propose of the measurement method forthe magnitude based on spectrophotometry and energy integral and gives a brief overview ofthe development of the magnitude measurement. Then, analyzes the measurement principlefor the apparent magnitude and analyzes the factors affecting the magnitude measurementaccuracy. The article proposes a kind of method to measure the magnitude based on energyintegral with the analysis to the measuring principle of magnitude. The article analyzes thescientific nature of the new method from the accuracy of the measurement of the magnitudeand the transformative of the result to another magnitude. The article design a measurementsystem of magnitude based on energy integration to achieve the new method and the systeminclude R-C objective, Czerny-turner spectrometer and CCD. Thirdly, the article achieves thedesign of all parts of the measurement system. Firstly, describes the principle of the R-Cobjective and achieves the engineering design of the objective. Secondly, describes theaberration principle of Czerny-turner spectrometer and achieves the engineering design of theobjective. Thirdly, selects the CCD and highlights the calculation of sensitivity of the CCDand the method to improve the signal to noise ratio for the CCD. Fourthly, achieves theoptimal design of the whole system. Finally, the article designed experiments to verify themeasurement method of magnitude based on energy integration has higher magnitudemeasuring accuracy and better stability. Firstly, analyzes the principle of the experiments according to the requirement of the new measurement method. Then, describes the principleof the experiment alignment of the system. Finally, achieves the experiments and analyzes theexperimental data to Verify the measurement method of method for magnitude based onenergy integration can complete an accurate and stable measurement of magnitude.Last of all, the article summarizes the issues encountered during the study and makessome improvements envisaged to address these issues.
