Spectroscopy is an important spectroscopy instruments, and it’s used in most ofthe scientific and technological fields. Traditional spectrometers is large, heavy, complexity, and inconvenience to carry. So spectrometer miniaturization is theinevitable trend of its development. In this context, access to information to understand the basic principles ofspectroscopic instruments to understand the technical characteristics and applicationsof different types of spectrometers. Optical structure has been analysed deeply andimproved identified a suitable optical structure of the subject, it is cross asymmetricCzerny-Turner optical path.According to the principles of miniaturization, to ensure complete accuracy ofthe situation, trying to reduce the size of the various types of components. In thehardware design, the use of the ARM architecture STMicroelectronicsSTM32F103RBT6as the main microprocessor, with Sony’s ELIS-1024CMOS sensoris a photoelectric receiving device to a virtual serial port technology as the mainspectral transmission of information.Supporting spectral acquisition software is developed in Windows7operatingsystem,used Microsoft Visual Studio2010as writing and testing environment, andmade the standard C++as a development language. Graphic display section usesTeeChart Pro plug-in for image rendering. Spectral image and spectral data can besaved in order to facilitate future studies. The final experiment, the first thing is software for calibration work, aftercalibration by mercury argon lamp to normal use of the instrument; then goingcontinuous data acquisition respectively to red and green laser for the range ofwavelengths which the software can determine. Finally, the software used in two waysto test the transmittance of the integration time by changing the integration time andchanging the light intensity of the light source.
