Virtual platform could be used to maintenance program discussion, assembly anddisassembly training and problem consultation and guidance when servicemen face tocomplex equipments but have no experience in maintenance. This method would improvethe efficiency and decrease the waste of resource and money.Obtained the requirements of the work platform by analyzing the characteristics ofcollaborative maintenance work. Established the framework of maintenance assembly anddisassembly collaborative work platform base on network environment and the functionmodules by combining with the research status.Analyzed the large volumes of data during maintenance operations and establishedtheir information models. The models are divided into three parts: scene model,collaborative operation information model and management model. The scene model couldbe built by virtual reality method or augmented reality method. The collaborative operationinformation model was constituted of the data of product, tool, flow and auxiliaries. Themanagement model was analyzed from collaborative rights and collaborative operationfeasibilities.Obtained the visualization requirements by analyzing series of information functionsand organized the sorts of information. Visualization informations are divided into modelinformation, operation information and text information and different information havedifferent implement methods. To keep every customer data and visualization effectconsistency, the collaborative informations were shared by coding and decoding on networktransmission.Collaborative maintenance training prototype system based on virtual reality wasfinished by HOOPS and Visual C++6.0. Collaborative maintenance guidance prototypesystem based on augmented reality was finished by OpenInventor, OpenCV and VS2008.Achieved model establishment, sequence planning, tasks distribution, virtual modelsuperposition and text communication functions and verified the theory methodscorrectness and effectiveness.
