Aircraft wing-body docking is an important process in the whole assembly process, which is complicated, calling for high quality requirements, and full of coordinationdifficulties. The flexible assembly method based on digital transmission is the tendency ofnew generation of aircraft assembly. It can not only improve the accuracy of aircraftwing-body docking, but also facilitate collaboration and monitoring the docking site, theefficiency of docking has been improved as a result. In order to improve the visualization ofdocking site monitoring, this paper represents the research on visual simulation technologyof data-driven aircraft wing-body docking.First, facing the main information of wing-body docking process involved, theorganization of the PPRC data set has been proposed in this paper, the wing-body dockingprocess product information, tooling information; process information has been analyzed aswell. And the set of data collection methods in docking process has been given. Based onThe TCP/IP protocol, the data transfer process and data encoding formats of docking siteequipment have been analyzed, so the conversion of data between the docking work isconvenient. Docking data storage management based on database schema has been given.Second, for the visualization needs of the wing-body docking site, the system ofwing-body posture alignment composed of wing-body numerical positioning devices hasbeen analyzed; the wing-body docking benchmarks have been given, as well as athree-dimensional docking scenario generation process. And visual scenario modeling ofwing-body docking has been completed.Again, the visual tactics for on-set data-driven docking has been studied, thecollaborative posture alignment process of a number of multi-DOF NC positioning deviceshas been analyzed, and the simulation processes of multi-DOF NC positioning devices havebeen defined. Researches on docking motilin based methods of docking motion simulationand information visualization have been conducted. Eventually, on-set data-driven visualsimulation of the docking process is achieved. Then, on VC6.0development platform, accompanied with Hoops softwaredevelopment kit, a communication link with the motion control system based on TCP/IPprotocol has been established, a prototype system named FAS-Docking has been developed.Through on-site docking instance, the actual application performance of the on-sitedata-driven wing-body docking visualization has been verified. Finally, the text represents a summary of the above research, and some referenceadvice of prototype system improvements has been proposed.
