Study On Quality Control Of Equipment Installation Works Of Aluminum Plate Production Line

The first phase of120,000ton per year aluminum plate for automobile of Novelis(China) Aluminum Products Co., Ltd, namely Novelis Project Tiger, is the first productionline in China invested by Novelis and the first EPCM project implemented by SIP. Aim tothe study of the engineering quality control, the thesis focus on two aspects: the workquality of the project construction phases and the process quality of equipment installation,from the point of view of the project management consultant.Firstly, the thesis emphasizes the meaning and importance of the quality control forthe project management, collecting the theories and research status of the quality controland similar project. Then the paper introduces the general information of the factory, thework flow of the continuous annealing solution heat treatment line, the installationquantities and features of the line, summarizes the typical equipments and classifies therolls as well. Chart three analyze the role and effect that government approval, designreview, tendering and procurement, construction exert on the quality control, inaccordance with the process of project stages, highlighting the concept of safety, energysaving, environment protection and sustainable development. The thesis discusses thequality control according to the sequence of equipment installation in chapter four,including the handover inspection of the civil foundation and steel structure, the mainconstruction method, the key installation activities and how to handle with the issues viathe relevant statistical methods. As the innovation points, the thesis introduce theimproved installation technique with shim and wedge, the advanced instrument for thealignment accuracy; the construction method of the roll and how to winding the steel ropeof the accumulator, the experience of the fluid piping and hydraulic system.In conclusion, the quality control of equipment installation not depends on thecompetency of the contractor, but also the workmanship of the manufacturers and the capability of the building design. Meanwhile, the result of the quality control reflects theability level of the project planning and management.
