Although the automatic production line of Intelligent Island machining for aluminium hub has reached a high level of automation,there are still many problems in the line since its establishment,such as: the balance rate of production line is 59%,the comprehensive efficiency of equipment is less than 70%.There is a long waiting time for the manipulator to move after the hub processing is completed,because the processing time of each process is not balanced.There are bottleneck processes,which result in long waiting time of manipulator and long production cycle affected by bottleneck processes.So it is urgent to solve the imbalance of production lines and improve production efficiency.Firstly,this paper introduces a large number of related theories and research methods of production line balance rate.Although some methods have not been applied in the production line of aluminum hub processing,they lay a theoretical foundation for enterprises to solve production line and production scheduling problems.Secondly,starting from the production process of the production line,the operation status of the actual production line is analyzed,and every movement of the manipulator in the whole process of handling is analyzed by means of action analysis and program analysis.The purpose is to find out the phenomenon of unreasonable and wasteful movement,so as to readjust the handling process of the manipulator according to the principle of ECRSI.By using stopwatch timing method to measure the time of each processing procedure,specific problems are analyzed,such as the idle time of the manipulator when OP1 feeding,the time of waiting for the manipulator to move after the hub processing is completed in the process.Then it analyses the balance of production line rhythm,bottleneck process,manipulator movement and individual process,and optimizes the existing problems of this production line.By adding a OP1 NC machine tool to balance the processing time of bottleneck process,the balance rate of production line is increased to 69%.Then it evaluates the production line time after increasing the machine tool.The existing problems continue to be optimized and improved,and eventually the production line balance ratewill be increased to 74%,so as to achieve the purpose of improving the production line balance rate and production efficiency.The data in this paper are all from the field investigation data in the production line of aluminium wheel hub.The data are closer to the actual production conditions.Through the analysis of its production rhythm,process flow,bottleneck process and the handling process of manipulator,the relevant theoretical basis is used to optimize and improve,and the data before and after optimization are evaluated and compared scientifically,and the effect of optimization and improvement of production line is obtained.
