Since twenty-first century, with the development of global economy and sciencetechnology, most countries in the world have accelerated the process of the city. Alongwith the city expansion and the high-rise buildings’ increasing, the building energyconsumption is rising year and year. To solve this problem, the architects are seeking afeasible method to decrease the energy consumption of buildings. The greenbuilding that can save energy and protect environment has become the inevitabletrend of architectural development. Building envelope’s energy saving as one of themost important part of the building’s energy saving design, has become the focus ofgreen building design. It’s energy performance depands largely on the buildingfacades’ form, material, structure and other factors. In the research of greenarchitecture, building facades energy-saving design has become an important issue intoday’s architectural design.In this paper, the author choose many successful green building examples of thedomestic and foreign countries. Through the energy-saving technology analyzing andsummarizing of innovation and application methods on low energy screen wall,ecological materials and sun shading system, the author wants to provide the referencefor the design of modern green building facades. The article is divided into threeparts: the first part briefly analyzes the background of green building facadesdesign, and expounds the research significance, research object, research methods andresearch framework. The second part is the analysis of the basic theory of greenbuilding facades design, including the related concepts, the designprinciple, design influenced factors and the basic design elements. The third part is thefocus of the article. Based on the first the chapters, the third part analyzes three typicalenergy saving technology innovation application of the green building successful case.The three are low energy screen wall, ecological materials and sun shadingsystem. The author hope that through this article, completely summarise the moderngreen building facades design theory and the three major energy-savingtechnology application methods. Make this article become the guidance forthe future design.
