Construction of exterior wall thermal insulation is an energy saving engineering, green engineering, it has become an important work of China’s energy-saving emission reduction, the development of low carbon economy, is an unswerving policy. At present, many kinds of building insulation materials, quality is uneven. In the design of the project selection, often takes effect, saving, convenient construction principle. At the same time, the lack of supervision of the insulation material purchase and construction engineering quality defects, resulting in fire and engineering.In this investigation, analyzed the status quo of species, Beijing city construction wall insulation materials production and usage. According to the actual project site management, summarizes the engineering defect found in external wall insulation exist, and analyzes the causes of defects, and puts forward some measures and suggestions to promote the development of building insulation materials, the development direction of the contrast between domestic and abroad to put forward their own views.Conclusions:(l)In the aspect of building energy-saving insulation wall, build, perfect industry and market supervision and management system, strengthen the dual supervision of insulation materials and construction quality;(2) Improve the fire performance of insulation materials and building insulation system, two aspects of standard fire from burning standard product itself and the external wall insulation system at the same time to strengthen the research;(3) Innovation is the development of building energy saving life, increase the innovation of new products, new technology, new technology is the future trend of development of building energy-saving insulation.The research results have an important value for the development of construction of exterior wall thermal insulation material and engineering application.
