With the rapid development of the economic,China merges numerous large-scaleperformance architectures, these architectures share the same characteristics: largescale, large span, great investment and enjoy much attention. The traditional fire control system which uses fire resisting Shutter and fire wall todivide deferent compartments can no longer satisfy the large scale performancearchitecture’s Aesthetic demands and functional requests. The fire compartment isbecoming oversize inevitably. Thus the performance-based fire protection design isbecoming increasingly important and has practical significance. In this article begin with the performance architecture’s different function zones andtheir fire load investigation, at the same time using the method of analogy comparingthe combustible’s categories in deferent space to get the fire growth rate in theparticular functional space, to create a reference and a database for futureperformance-based fire protection design. This thesis also summarizes and concludes the Performance-based Fire ProtectionDesign theory. The theory includes the process of defining the fire scenario and thedata setting of the evacuation process.Based on the theory study, this thesis take the Chengdu Performance Center asemulating objects, category the fire scenarios into4kinds: the field fire, the stage fire, the Auditorium fire and the box fire, take one of the scenario and simulate the fireprocess and the evacuating process. At last part of the thesis, based on the theory of performance-based fire protectiondesign,it studies the fire prevention in both Macroscopic and microscopic areas. Inthe macroscopic area it studies the method of the fire compartment smokecompartment. In sum, this thesis is trying to organize the related theories and the practicalexperience, hoping to create a database and a practical reference for future large scaleperforming architecture fire prevention design.
