Wind farm site selection for the realization of the benefits of the wind farm is extremelyvital, thus wind farm site selection research of the key factors is practically significant for thewind farm investment decision.This paper is based on coastal mountain wind as the research object, with analysis respectively from the wind farm site selection, wind turbines, wind energy resources type and capacity calculation, power system access, geological conditions, and environmental protection. Wind resource conditions of the project location are assessed according to the local wind data from the weather bureau, and the regional private measurement data of the wind tower. The mostappropriate model in the project is selected according to the parameters comparison such as power generation and power curve, which is taken in four models, i.e.750kw,850kw,1500kw,2000kw. Finally the overall assessment is determined with all aspects of the comprehensive factors.Theoretical analysis and practical results show that the wind farm would bring goodeconomic efficiency and social benefits; the project development is basically feasible. Theresults of the study will establish theory and technology foundation for wind powerinvestment decision-making in the next step.
