The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is located in the northern frontier of the motherland and has abundant wind resources. In order to make full use of its wind resources, taking Huanggang beam Hexigten Banner Chifeng wind farm as an example, to study the feasibility of the second phase expansion.Firstly, starting from the geographical position, the wind resource and the engineering geology of the wind farm, introduce the abundant wind resources of Huanggang beam wind farm. We do both evaluate the wind farm wind energy resources and analyze and evaluate the date of the meteorological station in the area of the wind farm. The result proved that it has abundant wind energy resources, and it is good for the construction of wind farm.Secondly, the selection of Wind power generators is also crucial. The use of suitable wind power units can not only make full use of wind resources, increasing the economic benefit of wind farm, but also reduce the influence of wind farm construction on the environment. The second phase of the expansion of the wind farm in Huanggang beam, can not only effectively use the wind resources in Hexigten Banner, reduce the pollution of using the fossil energy sources of, enhance the stability of the regional power supply, but also can promote the development of the local tourism industry.
