Regional power grid as the power-receiving side of the power system, its stableoperation is very important to the main power grid’s security and stability, the insurance ofthe regional users’ power supply and the improvement for the reliability of power supply.Relay protection as the first defense line of the grid security, it is the security guardsof the power grid and it is the indispensable part of the grid security. The reliable operationof relay protection plays an extremely important role to security and stability of the powergrid’s operation. And the relay setting calculation is the important key to secure operationof the relay protection system. Relay setting calculation is the basis of secure operation ofmodern power system, and is of great importance to the reliable function of relays.Sensitivity, selectivity and speed of the protection devices could be guaranteed by theappropriate settings. This dissertation is aimed at the relay setting calculation’scharacteristics and requirements of regional power grid and combine with regional powerrelay setting calculation software applications that arisen in a number of specific issues,which relates to the principle of relay setting calculation, with the given value, settingadjustment of definite value.This dissertation bases on the characteristics of the Shantou power grid. This papergives a detailed analysis of the zero-sequence protection and distance protection principlescalculation for each segment and gives a detailed analysis of the various principles ofmutual restraint. In order to ensure the relay protection’s performance while we use thesimplifying principles. This paper proposes that we adopt the protection principlescalculation for each segment,when we do the relay setting calculation on one regionalpower grid. In order to ensure the setting calculation between the upper and lower sectionsof the same protection. All simplified scheme have sought to keep the limited concentrateon the most critical principle in setting calculation process. To make sure that the givenvalue between selectivity and sensitivity can meet the requirements, and give fullyperformance to the relay protection. |
