With the PLC is widely used in automation engineering, the programmable logiccontroller curriculum is getting more and more attention in engineering school. The way ofExperimental teaching because of its intuition, practicalness, scientific research, is animportant tool to improve the teaching quality of programmable logic controller.The purpose of this subject is to research a new experimental teaching system, it can usethe limited resources to achieve the best teaching quality. the function of this system isdivided into two parts: firstly, it can use the limited resources to ensure the teaching qualityby assembling various teaching modules, sequencing and distributing the time for students’experimental verification; Secondly, when students put into further study orinnovative practices, they can test the program by using touch screen and then deepen theirknowledge of PLCThis system is composed of THPLC-B experimental station,computer, PLC, touchscreen and I/O interface circuit. firstly, This paper introduces the basic structure and theoperating principle of this system, analyzes the related technologies of software andhardware used in the system, elaborates on Interface technology,Communication technologyand their implementation that are used between PLC and computer, between PLC and touchscreen.Secondly, we design and complete I/O interface circuit that use Mitsubishi’s PLC andtouch screen as the core, set the parameters of touch screen,so that the app canrun interactively in computer, PLC and touch screen. This paper also elaborates on theirprogramming softwares and their communications settings of PLC and touch screenThirdly, we design and complete I/O interface circuit that use Mitsubishi’s PLC as thecore, write program for the Circuit. Through sequencing the students’ applications, we canconfirm which computer can communicate with the PLC in experimental station. This paperalso elaborates on the Communication protocols between computer and PLC.Finally, we design some programs to verify the system, the results show that thePLC experimental teaching system can meet the requirements of teaching, improve theteaching quality. At the same time, this system is easy to be used and maintaind. The system focus on training students’ ability, keeps enough room for students to play,is able to adapt to different experimental requirements of students that have different levels ofPLC’s theoretical knowledge.
