In this paper, based on the repair and strengthen of foundation of Songhua RiverBridge in Songyuan, the main content and conclusions are liasted as follows.1) The basis of long-span concrete bridge repair and reinforcement of domestic andstocktaking are discussed.2) Common basic defect classification and detection methods of foundation aredescribed, and Songhua River Bridge damage based on field testing is discussed.Firstly, a more detailed description of Songhua River Bridge is showed, especiallythe right pieces of five-span continuous girder bridge. Secondly, the causes ofdefects and their detection methods are analyzed. At last, the comprehensiveinspection of the bridge damage provides the necessary foundation.3) The maintenance and strengthening programs of Songhua River Bridge arediscussed. Based on the defect condition, bridge repair and reinforcementcharacteristics and common foundation repair and reinforcement method areelaborated, and then repair defective condition of the bridge strengthening scheme isin-depth discussions, and the main structure such as a stent uninstall designsolutions is given.4) The entire process of repair and reinforcement construction monitoring arestudied. The plane model of bridge is built with the program Bridge Doctor V3.0and the space model of bridge is built with the program Midas Civil2010. Secondly,the program as well as the reasonableness of the feasibility of unloading bracket isdiscribed by comparing the field data with the theoretical value.5) Evaluation of repair and reinforcement is given. Firstly, the basic method ofbridge condition assessment is carried out in detail. Then, combining visualinspection and load test, the repair and strengthen work is evaluated.
