With the rapid development of Chinese economy, the business jet used widelyat abroad has shown great requirement at home. But China has no one type bizjet toenter the market, especially with high performance, low fuel consumption turbofanengine for the bizjet, is in a blank state. In order to enter this huge potentia l market,the domestic aviation industry must carry out the research work as soon as possible.Based on this situation, this paper carried out the general design of turbofanengine for the small bizjet.Through the analysis of the aero engine designprocess,this paper established the performance constraints calculation model of theturbofan general design and the components, and the structure size parameterconstraints and matching model among the parts of the engine, programming thecorresponding computing program.The performance constraints calculation modelis integrated into the Isight optimization software platform. Taking advantage of theoptimization function of Isight software, the lowest fue l consumption rate as anoptimization objective, completed a turbofan general design which meet the usedemand of s mall bizjet, and through the calculation, the structure size was obtainedwith the main components of the air flow.After determining the engine design point performance, on the base ofreviewing the gas turbine engine performance simulation technology development,the paper established the small turbofan engine performance simulationmathematical model of one dimensional steady state, and calculated the designpoint performance and the altitude characteristics. The performance of the turbofanengine turns out to meet the needs of sma ll bizjet.The account of GSP(the generalgas turbine engines performance and emissions software) is proved the correctnessof the computed result.This work provided the design input and technical support for the furtherreseach of domestic small bizjet powerplant, we can carry out further parts designwork on the basis of the results in this paper.
