To solve the problem of the present profile of claw-type fluid machinery: realizing themeshing of the curve and two sharp points on the tip of the rotor. A new profile of the rotor isconstructed according to the meshing theory of the double rotary motion, and their equationsare gained. The new profile is connected smoothly by normal equidistant curves of arc andcycloid, without sharp points and realizing the meshing of arc and the curves. Also the rotorpossesses the characteristic of stable meshing, small remaining gap, weak vibration and lownoise, and bears higher pressure and temperature. The working characteristics of the claw-typefluid machinery are analyzed in detail, especially the special mixing process. Thethermodynamic model of the working compressor is established. The effect of cyclicalchanges in the volume on the compressor pump’s working performance is calculated, gainingthe changing rules between the pressure and temperature of the working chamber and thecyclical volume. A method of simulation is induced to study the unsteady working process ofthe claw-type compressor, with moving boundaries, gas compressed flowing, cyclical volume, gaining pressure contours, temperature contours, and contours of gas velocity at suction inletand exhaust outlet. The leakage flowing characteristics of the compressing process of theclaw-type compressor is studied, gaining the changing rules of parameters with differentmeshing gaps, such as pressure and mass of the working chamber. The stress of rotors bearingis calculated with all loading from the discretization of the pressure and temperature contours, gaining the stress field of the rotor. The one-way coupling between flow and forces the rotorbearing is analyzed, finding the position of stress concentration and the maximum stress. Thenew claw-type compressor proves to be better compared with the original one in all respects.
