High-rise buildings, especially residential high-rise buildings crowdedwith people will suffer serious losses of property when a fire breaks outbecause of great fire load. Problems of fire protection used in high-risebuildings have always been the hot spot of the current research at homeand abroad. Based on the research of fire temperature field and structurefire response of high-rise buildings all over the world, this articleconducted fire process analysis of reinforced concrete high-rise residentialstructures. The main research contents and results are as follows:(1) According to the domestic typical high-rise residential model, thisarticle conducts the indoor fire and exterior insulation fire in FDSnumerical simulation analysis. Studies show that the stand or fall ofventilation has opposite effects on different fire stages. There aresignificant differences between exterior insulation fire and indoor fire, withthe increasing of window-wall ratio, fire spreading rate goes faster, andspreading scope becomes larger, however, the peak temperature decreases. The highest temperatures extrapolated from residues in the scene arecompared with that analyzed by using FDS simulation verify good fit andreliability.(2) The ISO834standard fire and the FDS fire as external thermalenvironment are respectively used on research of reinforced concretecomponents temperature field analysis. The highest temperature appearson the surface of component when subjected to the ISO834standard fire, and appears in internal section of component subjected to the FDS fire. Itshows that when fire goes into the cooling part, the temperature in internal component is still rising, and it may cause new structural damage. Forvertical components analysis, there is certain difference from the real firesituation if temperature change along the length direction is ignored.(3) Response analysis under fire is respectively carried out on thecomponents and the overall structure. Adopting the FDS fire based on firescenario simulation as environment temperature input has importantsignificance in improving precision of structure fire response analysis. When a local fire occurs in the overall structure, the fire layer and the layerabove are significantly affected. Due to the deformation coordination, component damage is more likely to happen in side-span than in mid-span.The lower the height of fire position is, the greater the chance to causeoverall structural failure.
