The space of underground plants is large, there are many equipments that producelots of heat, and the air distribution is complex, therefore, the control of temperatureand humidity is becoming more important. The computational fluid dynamics (CFD)software is widely used in HVAC field, because it has the advantages of low-cost,short-cycle, strong flexibility etc. However, the process of learning and operatingsoftware is time-consuming, it needs to spend a lot of time and energy to calculateskillfully. Based on our long-term researches and practices, developing a platform forthe simulation of airflow in the underground plants of pumped storage stations is avery important task. The project is based "on the pumped storage hydropower station air conditioningdynamic simulation software platform development" entrusted by Power ChinaHuaDong Engineering corporation, then studied by professor Li Angui research groupof Xi’an University Of Architecture And Technology, the project mainly includes twoparts: software platform development and2D-PIV experiment, Tao Pengfei who is onemember of the project group mainly researched the boundary condition of numericalsimulation and experimental verification, this paper mainly describes the process ofplatform development and the comparison and demonstration of bus layer schemes. The secondary development based on script files of Gambit and Fluent software,to achieve parametric model, automatic grids, automatic calculation. Considering theinteraction of man-machine interface, we designed the interface for the operator to useconveniently, the whole development process in VC十十6.0platform. To verify the correctness of the results, we compared the results of platform to the availableexperimental data.We made three different schemes to calculate through this platform, thencomparing the non-uniform velocity and temperature coefficient of the three schemes.Based on the platform, the numerical calculation will be conveniently and quickly. Theplatform provides a simple and reliable tool to the engineers, designers of the HVACsystem can adjust or optimize the air distribution according to the calculation results.
