Short-pier shear wall-masonry composite wall, which is consist of short-pier shearwall and masonry wall through a specific construction technology, can be a new type ofseismic dissipation of earthquake energy system in stages. A number of Short-pier shearwall-masonry composite wall has been studied by former group though quasi-static testunder low reversed cyclic loading. The main content of the research have to destroy thewhole process of reaction and crack propagation of concrete specimen case, hysteresiscurve, stiffness and ductility performance. In this paper, the main content is as follows:According to the research of monolayer, the four levels of Short-pier shearwall-masonry composite wall, studying on stress mechanism and mechanicalcharacteristics of each stage. Short-pier shear wall-masonry composite wall show themechanical characteristics of the whole wall, especially in the early period of the wholeprocess, block, and even the beam, wall limbs can better work together, this also is thereflect of the special construction technology. Block wall as the role of the "first line",delayed the structural damage, conform to the specifications set more lines of defencephased destruction.On the basis of the test to increase a set of contrast specimen short limb shear wall-truss model. Pushover analysis on short limb shear wall frame, with limbing shortshear wall, Short-pier shear wall-masonry composite wall by the finite element analysissoftware ABAQUS, According to the result of finite element analysis can be found thatShort-pier shear wall-masonry composite wall not only has high bearing capacity, andits stiffness and ductility performance are compared with the other two kinds of structure forms of short limb shear wall are improved, and damage to block wall andbrace process has carried on the comparative study.From damage state, bearing capacity,ductility and rigidity of four aspects, the three kinds of structure forms of short limbshear wall in the axial compression ratio were0.2,0.3,0.4, and the wall limbs ratiorespectively5,6,7,6kinds of working conditions is a detailed analysis, summed up thechanging law and reason analysis, prove that no matter under what conditions of shortlimb shear wall-block composite wall has high lateral resistance.According to the overall mechanical characteristics of Short-pier shearwall-masonry the simplification of its model, simplified the whole wall model,to solvethe structural stiffness matrix of the elastic stage, better than the traditional shear modelcan reflect the structure of the actual situation. On a case by using this method thevibration performance research, and puts forward some constructive suggestions to theactual engineering design.
