China lies between two earthquake areas, thus resulted in a lot of earthquake disasters, which have always being a threat to human life and properties. People around the world take much wisdom in reducing the disadvantages caused by earthquakes. People found that proper vibration control design on building structures could help a lot on reducing those disadvantages on earthquake-resistance in real engineering. Vibration control of structure appeared in the twentieth Century sixty’s to seventy’s,among witch, sliding mode control is one of the most widely used control strategies. This control method has the invariance when subjected to parameter perturbation and external disturbances in system,and the algorithm is simple in design. However, the chattering problem in sliding mode control restricts the main difficulties in application development.The scholars has made many attempts in order to improve the sliding mode control effect and weaken the chattering. This article using a combined reaching law, then derive the formulas of compensatted controller, on that basis.At last, the corresponding conclusion should be listed in the following intelligent system research:(1) Using Matlab to analyze a three-layer shear structure mounted with giant magnetostrictive material activitor (referred to as GMM) on the bottom. Research shows that, compared with the traditional sliding mode algorithm, sliding mode control algorithm design with composite reaching law and a compensator can weaken the chattering problem, as well as getting in the balance of control effect and the control force.(2) Introduced the motion equations and state equations of structure-active tuned mass damper system. Compensator design,as well. Numerical analysis is put on a single-degree-freedom structure equiped with an active tuned mass damper. By comparing timing diagram of non-control, sliding mode control without a compensator and sliding mode control with a compensator, once again confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm.(3) The eccentric structure-tuned liquid column damper system are analyzed, and numerical analysis is carried out on a single-degree eccentric structure. Analysis shows, torsion coupling effect can cause amplification effect of the structure vibration; the algorithms presented in this paper on the eccentric structure-tuned liquid column damper system has a good control effect.The results show that, sliding-mode-control with a compensator can be applied in three kinds of intelligent structure systems proposed in this article and achieved a good control effect. It solved the following problems: weaken chattering, make the design easier based on finite state feedback, get in the balance of control effect and the control force. It develop a new way for disign sliding mode control, thus has a certain theoretical significance, and provides some reference value for the engineering application.
