Double-skin facade, a new peripheral tactic pattern of the building has been widely adopted.Its appearance is artistic and permeability is nice. Because of heat radiation in summer and heatpreservation in winter, it could economize on energy consumption of the building. However, thedesign of double-skin facade is a complicated and systematic work. It is required that theengineers consider multi-aspect factors. Especially the thermal property from facade system isinfluenced by structure size of double-skin facade. And then indoor thermal environment has beenaffected too. For this reason,the research about the relevance between structure size and thermalproperty of double-skin facade is important in further scientific technology.This thesis states heat-transfer process and energy-conservation theory of double-skin facadesystem carefully. Moreover it analyses the influence of thermal property by varied structure sizebased on Shuohuang Developing Building in Beijing (Beijing is the typical cold district). Thepractical plan is to imitate double-skin facade system process of one building unit according toCFD simulation methodology and Fluent analogue software, in the meantime research air flowcondition of passage of heat in RNG simulation model.In order to test the exactness of geometric model and simulation method, the thesis quotesexperimental data from Mr L.Mei’s documents. Then it analyses simulation data and experimentaldata by comparison when the design parameter and set-up condition of border are applied to thegeometric model with Fluent analogue software (error control is allowed). Furthermore thisresearch will prove geometric model and simulation method of the thesis is correct.In addition the thesis analyses thermal property of double-skin facade is influenced by threefactors with Fluent analogue software in summer, include the width of heat passage, the height ofhaul air port, and the height of the facade. First of all, it alternates the width of heat passage to200mm,300mm,400mm,500mm,600mm,700mm,800mm,900mm,1000mm in Gambit model,and reaches the conclusion that500mm is the best in Fluent analogue software. Then300mmheight of haul air port is best under analogy method circumstances when opposed to the term of100mm,200mm,300mm,400mm, and500mm. Finally it tests2000mm,3000mm,4000mm,5000mm, and6000mm height of the facade at the same time, and analyses5000mm is the suitablefor thermal property of double-skin facade. In conclusion, three factors all effect thermal propertyin varying degrees. Therefore the engineers should consider different kinds of factors and getexact plan when they start to design structure size of the facade.At last, the thesis discusses about the relationship between multilayer share of double-skinfacade and thermal insulation property, then analyses the multilayer share of such heat passage from one layer to four in the analogy method. Then it comes to the conclusion that higher airtemperature of heat passage opposed to that outdoor is beneficial to thermal insulation property ofthe building. However, with multilayer share number increasing, temperature variation in heatpassage is of unworthiness for energy conservation in the building.
