The vacuum lifespan of a vacuum interrupter is one of the most important indicators,the vacuum level of which is used to guarantee the normal operation of vacuum circuitbreaker. In order to make it work in a good performance, the vacuum level must keepbelow1.33*10-2Pa. Vacuum lifespan of vacuum circuit breaker is limited, and the vacuumwill degrade as the storage and operation time increases. Testing the vacuum level andmaking the vacuum circuit breaker work in the vacuum lifespan are the main purpose andof great significance. When vacuum circuit breaker is working in the system, influenced bythe interferences such as high voltage and electromagnetism, the measurement data can notmeet the required accuracy.A new method is put forward to estimate the vacuum lifespan based on the expertsystem, and a management platform is designed, which provides a valuable reference foroverhaul and maintenance of the vacuum circuit breaker. The main idea is divided into twoparts:1Model of lifespan prediction: Firstly, lay a foundation of the prediction model byelaborating the main parts of the vacuum interrupter, factors which affect the vacuum level,formula of the vacuum life estimation and changes of the vacuum level after breaking thedifferent current; Secondly, analyze the trend of vacuum level and the main predictionmethods based on the historical data, and establish two kinds of prediction model. One isthe combined prediction model and the other is the method of second-order adaptiveprediction mode. Finally, analyze the feasibility and accuracy of the mode.2Design of theexpert system: First, choose a knowledge base for the expert system based on the its mainstructure and the actual demand; Second, design a rule of inference for reasoning machineof the expert system by MATLAB, and draw the flow chart so that the management andoperational functions of vacuum data can be completed; Third, use MFC as ahuman-computer interface, process data and transmit them with VC++and MATLAB, andfinally the residual life of vacuum interrupter and expert advice can be attained.
