The big building stock and the huge energy consumption of existing buildings in our country require energy-saving reformation, and the building renovation with passive energy-saving technology conforms to our country national condition.The purpose of this study is to build the application strategy of passive energy-saving technology in building renovation. At first, I summarize the passive energy-saving technologies that are often used in building renovation, and the ways they are applied. The outcome of this stage which I call "materials" is helpful to the conclusion of this study. Secondly, I get the application process of passive energy-saving technologies applied in building renovation through the analysis of three cases. I call the outcome of this stage "skeleton". Finally, with the "material" and the "skeleton", I build the application strategy of passive energy-saving technology in building renovation.The application strategy of passive energy-saving technology in building renovation includes two aspects:the process and the ways. The process of passive energy-saving technologies applied in building renovation contains the Work for Pre-project, design stage and project after completion. The ways of passive energy-saving technologies applied in building renovation contain Optimization, Technology incorporated into a building, Creative design, Low-cost strategy, Technology integration and Design according to the items of an evaluation system. I hope this strategy has certain reference significance in the design practice in the future.
