A Comparative Study Of The Western Zhou Xia And Shang Palace Building

Xia,Shang and zhou Dynasties era in our history to Empire historical period of transition from the kingdom, the palace buildings have emerged during this period,but also in the history of China’s building occupies a very important position. But for the palace of this period research was restricted to investigate the layout, construction technology base address of a single palace, perspective relatively simple, the lack of systematic comparative research.Based on the traditional literature material,combined with the latest archaeological discovery, absorbing the research results of the scholars of Xia Shang and Wester Zhou,the author tries to carry out comparative study of Xia Shang and Westert Zhou palace architecture.Many useful methods are used,such as history architecture ethnology and sociology, Comparative study of Xia Shang and Wester Zhou palace building helps to understand the early Chinese palace architecture model and sort out the shape of traditional Chinese palace architecture development; And this also contributes to better study the architecture culture of the Xia Shang and Wester Zhou dynasties.The full text is divided into four parts:The first part is how to define the related concepts such as the time range and palace architecture. Defining these concepts is premise of comparison of the Xia Shang and Wester Zhou palace architecture.This paper also traces back to the current research status and research purpose and values. A brief introduction to the discovery of Xia Shang and Western Zhou palace architecture is also given.The second and third part mainly makes a comprehensive comparative study of the building layout, technology, building decoration, drainage facilities and other aspects of the Xia Shang and Wester Dynasties palace contrast with the previous single perspective studies which mainly focused on single palace base layout and construction process,The fourth part is mainly the conclusion,especially a summary of the results of the comparison, noting the limitations and shortcomings of the article.
