The technology of AC motor speed control driving device is mature now, and it has widely used in the industry, but the universal AC motor speed control driving device is not applicable in these applications of the special low power such as 3k W or having specific functional requirements because of low cost performance. Therefore this paper designs a driving device specifically for low-power AC motor through the investigation and analysis of the low-power AC speed controller, it has the characteristics of simple structure, small volume high cost performance, and enriches the AC drive application in the field of low-power AC motor.Based on the functional requirements, this paper first raises the overall design for low-power AC speed controller on the basis of theoretical research, and uses some simulation experiments to verify its feasibility, and then finishes the design for hardware and software programs of controller according to modules.Finally the paper has carried on the overall debugging and experiments to the design speed controller. Slip velocity of speed closed loop controlling variable frequency speed regulation technology is adopted in the design of speed control technology, and the main circuit adopts the AC-DC-AC voltage type frequency changer circuit, the controller adopts the motor control chip SH79F1611 as the core with sinusoidal pulse width modulation(SPWM) technology to realize the development of small power AC speed regulation controller.Debugging for the design of low-power AC variable speed controller, the results show that the speed controller has reached desired functionality, completed a set of specifications and has the characteristics of simple structure, small size and low cost. So it can be popularized in production.
